    Certificate III in Carpentry

    The CPC33020 Certificate III in Carpentry includes setting out, manufacturing, constructing, assembling, installing and repairing products made using timber and non-timber materials. As part of the course, students will also learn about the design, specification, and installation of wood products, as well as the use of hand and power tools.

    The qualification addresses the knowledge and skills required in areas such as reading plans and calculating measurements, constructing floor, wall, ceiling and roof frames, installing roof trusses, eaves, claddings and linings, demolishing, setting out and levelling construction sites and even working with formwork and concrete. The attainment of the qualification is recognition of your competence across the variety of fields involved in such work.

     

    Individuals who are currently working as unqualified carpenters and are looking to formalise their existing skills and knowledge.

    Entry Requirements

    • English level evidence (Upper Intermediate level / IELTS 5.5 / PTE equivalent)
    • 18 years and above with a High School Certificate (Year 12)
    • A verified copy of qualifications & transcripts is required to accompany your application
    • Qualification & transcripts need to be verified by CTI’s approved student recruitment agent to confirm their genuine status.

     

    Study Requirement

    The course practical workshop is located off campus. Students will be required to make own travel arrangements to the workshop/practical site off campus as per the schedule provided upon commencement.

    Students must purchase their own PPE and a basic toolkit prior to commencement. Workshop access will be denied without these tools.

    A list of the required PPE and basic toolkit will be provided at orientation.
